Space The Final Frontier
Have you wondered as a student of physics why the photon moves and what powers the endless electromagnetic and
gravitational forces. You were probably told that these are the laws of nature and that is it. The most thorny problem about space
as a structure is that why it offers no resistance to motion. Actually there is initial resistance to motion (inertia) but this just seems
to melt away. Once set into motion object moves effortlessly through space. Both the initial resistance and tendency to move
need explanation. Then there is the motion of the photon which always moves at the speed of light. This all makes sense only in
context of time as a property derived from space......expanding space.

Classical physics explains above problems by saying that the linear or rotational motions which produce slowing of time or the
centrifugal force are somehow produced by matter of rest of the universe; an action at distance. Recently physicists have
discovered that so called vacuum is teeming with virtual particles. The physicists have discovered zero point energy. Some
physicists are now trying to explaining inertia by the zero point energy. I however believe that the source of time forces and
motion as well as zero point energy is the expansion of the universe. The presence of energy in empty space should again bring
out the problem as to why space does not offer any resistance to motion?
The space is expanding and it can be curved warped and extreme curvatures in space can produce black holes. Structure of
space is like emperors new clothes we can imply about it by ascribing various properties like curvature but we cannot say it is
there. Reason again is obvious it offers no resistance.
